Comolli emigrati negli USA: tracce nel Vermont

(30/1/2002) Messaggio da James Brusa - Message from James Brusa:

" The Comolli's in my family on my mother's side, was Flora Maroni who married Aldolfo Comolli. I do not have the dates as yet. Aldolfo had brothers named Rigo, Amando, Ugo, and I think one other. They lived in Barre Vermont and owned a 'stone shed'that cut and carved granite. I think there is also one unmarried sister.

Of course they are long gone, Dolfo was born in 1894, a great guy, and a role model for me. They had two sons, Raymond and Edward, born in the late 1920's that I correspond with and have asked them about the family in my preparation of the Brusa family tree.

My grandfather, Giovanni Brusa, was a stone cutter that came apparently in a group of granite workers from Viggiù (Italy) and settled in Hallowell (Maine), and worked the quarries there.
I have read several articles by David Baker and was impressed at his research.

Best regards
Jim Brusa
